I spent most mornings wandering the nearby streets with my coffee, watching the city wake up. It’s not fancy, but it’s authentic — and that’s worth something.

The Room

Look, I’m not gonna sugarcoat it — this isn’t a place with marble bathrooms or Egyptian cotton sheets. My room was clean and functional, with air conditioning that actually worked (which, trust me, matters more than thread count when it’s hot). The bed was comfortable enough, and I had a small desk where I could spread out my maps and plan the next day. The Wi-Fi was decent, though it did cut out occasionally during evening hours.

Daily Life

What I appreciated most was how the hotel felt like part of the neighborhood rather than separate from it. The front desk folks knew which local places served the best food, and they weren’t trying to steer me toward expensive tourist spots. There’s a small restaurant attached to the hotel that serves simple Congolese dishes — nothing fancy, but the fish was fresh and the portions were generous. Parking is available on the street, though you’ll want to ask the staff about the safest spots.

  Idriss and his colleagues were very welcoming and responded promptly to any requests. Communication went very smoothly too. We had complimentary pick-up and drop-off at the crossing point to Kinshasa. The rooms were clean, and the hotel staff moved in a larger second bed to accommodate our family. The hotel is on a quieter side street, but close to a main road with restaurants and small shops.

  Everything worked! Electricity, wifi, air conditioning, fan, credit card, machine airport pick up, answering emails. Good breakfast. Owner spoke and wrote reasonable English and uncomplainingly took me back to airport in the middle of the night. Thank you!

  Location is excellent in a very busy and commercial area of Brazzaville. The good thing is it is easy to get a taxi and most Government offices of business offices are less than 10 or 15-minutes away and taxis cost $2. The price of the hotel is also good. Hotel runs its generator during very frequent power interruptions. I think the area around the hotel is very safe.

  Good position not far from the main attraction of Brazzaville. The room was spacious, AC working very good but the hotel would need a brushing up specially the furniture. Good breakfast and free shuttle bus to/from the airport. I spent 4 nights thetr and,.in the end, my stay was good.

  Hotel manager was cooperative, safety is nice. There is a electricity generator here so there is no problem even power cut. Power cut is often in this country. So this is good choice. Food was good. Room and bathroom were clean.
